Asparagus was on sale for 99 cents a pound. I bought two bunches.
We’ve enjoyed it broiled with olive oil, seasonings and/or Parmesan cheese.
I’ve put it into omelettes and breakfast casseroles.
It was fine in stir-fry, too.
But on this morning’s sandwich the simmered asparagus just wasn’t right.
“It did make the coffee taste good, though,” remarked my husband.
