Lasagne Without the Sheet Pasta

Either don’t have the right noodles or you just don’t like dealing with the sheets of lasagne there are other ways of throwing together similar dishes.
This time I boiled vegetable spirals and mixed them with diced tomatoes, bacon-flavored"pizza & pasta" sauce, and browned ground beef.  Between two layers of the pasta mixture I dollopped ricotta-egg mixture topped with slices of mozzarella cheese.  Before the last 5-10 minutes I sprinkled parmesean on top and changed the oven setting to broil.
Next time I’ll use twice as much sauce, though.  Colombians might like it, but we prefer LOTS of tomato sauce…and maybe some spicy Italian sausage.
