Mexican Mole…from Colombians, used by Colombians

ESL en la Cocina Again.  This week, Pipe got to research Mexican food. Part of his assignment was to choose a recipe that included mole, because Loyda had given me a ziplock bag full last Monday when we visited her house for lunch.   I think that the class turned out more for Magda to practice English than for Pipe. She chose the recipe and did a lot of the talking while we worked.

The recipe that she picked actually told you how to make the mole from scratch. We just added the prepared powder to some beans and chorizo. Daniel and I mixed together some guacamole (barehanded!) while Pipe and Magda rolled and fried flour tortillas.

The dog, Abril, was interested, but the cat stayed in the other room.
