Getting Around Town: Bogota

After taking the transmilenio and walking around to find the place we will begin training at later this week, we decided to look for a place to eat lunch. It wasn’t until we were sipping our jugo de frambuesas (rapberry juice) that I noticed the sign in the window: we were in a Karaoke bar/restaurant.

The waitress was quick to approach us as we read the menu scribbled onto a whiteboard that hung on one wall.  Joel ordered arroz con pollo. I chose the mixto de carnes plato.

The chicken was very good with the spicy pico(?). The beef was tough, but the green sauce was rather tasty. It reminded me of pesto, but without parmesan.  We both agreed that the rice’s texture was unappealing, but the flavor was good.
