Since Joel’s recent lab results show that his cholesterol levels are high, I headed to the library to check out a few recipe books. This afternoon Love in the time of cholesterol : a memoir with recipes by Cecily Ross wasn’t available yet, but I found three other resources on the shelf.
I was surprised to see mashed potatoes and gravy in a book that claims to have "140 Easy Recipes for a Healthy Heart", but my husband and I agreed that our dinner turned out well this evening. The baby carrots and asparagus did lose some of their color while steaming, though.
