“Chinese”

The end of this week marks not only the beginning of the holidays for most, but also a celebration of the end of a semester of school for many. One of our church friends completes the requirements for college graduation this year. She sent out an invitation for some of us to join her and her husband at the New King Buffet, this Friday. We had to decline, because Joel starts his work "day" earlier on Friday and Saturday evenings.

This afternoon as we walked toward the car, a strong aroma from the Chinese buffet across the street from the library hit our faces along with the cold, wet snowflakes.

"Lets go home and have something Chinese!" Joel suggested.

And so in my mind I took inventory of what I remembered was in the refrigerator, freezer and pantry.

We ended up with:

Rice
Chow Mein Noodles

steak
red bell pepper
onion
water chestnuts
garlic
teriyaki sauce
soy sauce
Mrs. Dash
sesame seed oil

and a large mug of green tea
