Spring Cleaning

We had Stephen, Christina and Noah over to lunch on Sunday.
Much of Saturday was spent in preparation. The need to clean proved a bit more extensive than I had planned.
When the sink garbage disposal clogged at the same time that the berry cobbler boiled over in the oven,
a visit to Target for Drain-o and oven cleaner spray was added to the schedule.
I have to admit that the oven REALLY needed to be cleaned even before the spill.
Also, Katrina should not be trusted with a garbage disposal:
Neither saurkraut nor loose leaf tea should be put down the drain…
The menu included:
Spinach with craisins, almonds, parmesan and raspberry vinegarette
3-Cheese Texas toast
Mustard Potato Salad
Macaroni Salad with black beans, red bell pepper, cheese and cilantro
Mesquite Chicken breast, grilled
All-beef brats, sliced and pan fried
Mixed Berry Cobbler with french vanilla whipped topping
Canada Dry ginger ale
