Food is definitely more than sustenance.  The simplicity and complexity of the art is a blessing from God.

As I walked through Byerly’s grocery store yesterday morning, then flipped through their catering magazine, I was overwhelmed with the beauty of presentation.  Yes, it does cost more to shop at the upscale grocery store.  Yes, Aldi’s and Cub and Rainbow will often do just as well with lower prices.  Sometimes spending the extra buck is worth it, though!  Cheap doesn’t always mean a good value (there may be a reason that can of ___is on sale).
Isn’t the area of food one specifically mentioned  that we are supposed to strive for excellence in?
"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."  1 Corinthians 10:31
